The Thrill of the Hunt

cat-and-mouse“When animals are curious…the ‘feel-good’ neurotransmitter, dopamine is produced. Scientists used to believe the chemical itself caused the pleasure, until it was discovered that the chemical’s true purpose is to arouse a certain neural pathway. What actually feels good is the activation of the seeking portion of the brain…the most emotionally arresting part for any animal is the hunt not the catch.”

When I read this quote from THE INTENTION EXPERIMENT, by Lynne McTaggart (author of The Field), I was reminded, as Abraham-Hicks always says, that we never get it done.

Abraham also explains the purpose of our never-ending desires:

 “As you conclude a new desire, you summon life force…and whether you are allowing it to flow through you or not, All -That-Is benefits from that.”

 “You intended to come forth into the physical realm of contrast to define what is wanted, to connect with the energy that creates worlds, and to flow it toward your objects of attention. Not because the objects of attention are important, but because the act of flowing is essential to life.”

As I understand it, the purpose of desire is twofold:

  1. Contrast causes us to have preferences and as we determine what we want (by knowing what we don’t), our newly formed desire causes Source, of which we’re a part, to become more. When we ask it is  given. Source then becomes the vibrational equivalent of our desire, thereby causing the expansion of the Universe.
  2. The second purpose is to help us to focus.  As we focus on our desire, we can tell by our feelings where we are in relationship to it. Focus causes vibrational movement to or away from our object of desire. Deliberate movement toward our desire is life-giving. Why? Because in moving toward our desire we’re moving toward our Source, our Inner Being, God. Ultimately, it’s alignment that we truly want, and our day to day desires provide us with the impetus to seek that vibrational alignment as well as the evidence that we’ve attained it.

Growing up on a farm, I used to watch cats catch mice and then play with them endlessly, it seemed. They’d let them go, watch them run a few feet and catch them again. It seemed cruel and I’d think, “Just kill it already instead of torturing the poor thing.” But now as I imagine it from the cat’s perspective, I understand more clearly why they do this. It’s the same reason we’re set up the way we are. Why we keep having desires, why we experience contrast.

It’s the thrill of the hunt.

It’s the seeking and finding, the asking and receiving. It’s the not having and then seeing that first hint of evidence that brings us closer to our desire, the not knowing and then getting a whiff of the answer.

I’ve had many desires manifest, and I’ve noticed the satisfaction is often short-lived. There’s that sense of ”Okay, now what?” that inevitably follows. The ‘now what?’ is another desire, and another, and another. The thrill is in moving toward them not arriving.

Cats can teach us a lot of things. I’m learning that life is a game, and having fun is what it’s all about.

A MOMENTUM EXPERIMENT

I’ve decided to share my ideas for a group I’m organizing this summer. I’ll try to post once a month to keep everyone updated. At first I thought of calling it a mastermind group, but somehow the title doesn’t fit with my concept for the group, so I’ve decided to call it a “Momentum Experiment” for two reasons.

  1. It’s based on Abraham-Hicks latest teaching on momentum.
  2. I’m curious to see how my ideas (based on Abraham’s practical teaching) will play out in a group setting.

If you’re not familiar with Abe’s latest teaching and want to learn more, check out the Cancun Land Cruise workshops (or other recent Abe workshops). They’re amazing! For now, I’ll try to sum it up in a few sentences:

  • Thoughts are energy (vibration) and are organized by the Law of Attraction. They can be powerful if allowed to gain momentum.
  • As we think a thought for as little as 17 seconds a similar thought  joins it, Another 17 seconds, and more of the same are attracted. By the time we think about a subject for 68 seconds, our thoughts have gained significant momentum, so that thinking them becomes natural, effortless and they will continue in that direction by their own force.
  • This is good if our thoughts are positive, but if they’re negative, practiced, habitual thoughts packed with emotion, the momentum can build so quickly that it might feel as though our thoughts are thinking us, that they are controlling us in some way.
  • The good news is that positive momentum can be garnered through deliberate focus with a little practice. Negative momentum will dissipate quickly once we cease giving it our attention. (Abraham offers tips and processes for doing that)
  • It’s all about being aware of our thoughts, particularly how our thoughts make us feel. By being aware of the direction of our thoughts early on, we can stop negative thoughts before they gain enough momentum to keep going on their own.

As individuals it would be of benefit  to us to:

  • pay more attention to what we think and what we speak about to others.
  • spend more time looking for positive things to focus on (even keep a notebook to record these things)
  • have tools that will help us take control of our thoughts and enable us to spend more time feeling good than feeling bad.
  • raise our vibration so we can be happy and healthy and prosperous and shine in a way that others around us see and want to emulate.

As a group we could benefit by:

  • uplifting one another
  • meeting regularly to report our successes and hear about each others progress in this area
  • raising our vibrations through the fun and encouragement of being together
  • staying committed and accountable

The GOAL/INTENT of this experiment will be to raise our vibrational energy, both individually and as a group, as we become more positively focused, and to keep the positive momentum going through techniques we learn and practice.

My ideas for the group meetings:

  • meet once a week
  • discuss tips and processes for staying positive and letting negative emotion dissipate
  • keep meetings to 1 hour as many of us have busy schedules
  • meet once a month for a social gathering (optional)
  • keep meetings positive!!
    • we are no longer telling our “stories,” arguing for our limitations, or claiming victim status.
    • We are looking for and reporting on the positive in our everyday lives – a task which will become easier and easier as the experiment continues).
    • I have some fun ideas to implement, such as a buzzer in the middle of the table to stop anyone trying to perpetuate their negative “stuff”, or monopolize the conversation.
  • there will be no agenda (beyond what I have laid out here) and no facilitator – we are all teachers, all students, all having equal input and equal time to speak.
  • I feel the group would function best if there are not more than six members. If I have a very favorable response to this, we could potentially have two groups meeting on different days for our weekly meetings and join together once a month for our social.

Below are some ideas for positive things to report during our weekly meetings.

  • an incident, project, experience turned out better than you anticipated
  • something you desired has manifested
  • you received good news
  • you gained clarity, received insight
  • you were inspired with an idea or impulse to act upon
  • you succeeded in looking for and finding a positive aspect of something which, in the past, had evoked only negative thoughts/emotions
  • you noticed an over-all change in your vibration (generally feeling better)
  • your vibration has changed for a specific reason (positive only)
  • you succeeded in letting negative emotion dissipate (no need to tell the negative story, only your experience of not keeping it active)
  • share which processes, techniques work for you

Further, here are some of the tips and processes that Abraham (and I) suggests for keeping positive momentum going and stopping the negative.

ENCOURAGING POSITIVE EMOTION

  • The best times for introducing and perpetuating positive thoughts/emotion are first thing in the morning, after a nap, or after meditation
  • garnering positive thought takes practice! Be easy on yourself, be patient and know that any movement in that direction is worthy of celebrating!!
  • if you can deliberately get on a positive subject and stay there – even for a few minutes a day at first – congratulate yourself and note your progress.
  • when you find yourself feeling good, for any reason, milk it and try to keep the momentum going
  • practice, practice, practice
  • make this a priority. Feeling good not only benefits you it benefits everyone you come in contact with!

SLOWING/STOPPING NEGATIVE EMOTION

  • negative emotion is easy to stop if you can catch it before it gains momentum (think of Abraham’s analogy of a car on top of a hill. If it starts to roll, you could step out in front of it and stop it easily enough. Or if an ember lands on your favorite sweater – you could flick it off right away it won’t do any damage). This is why it pays to be aware of how we feel moment by moment.
  • once negative thought gains momentum, it can’t be stopped as easily (think of standing at the bottom of the hill and trying to stop the car coming toward you). If this happens – and it will – allow it to play out. Trying to stop it just adds focus (aka momentum)!
  • Don’t beat yourself up for feeling bad – that just adds momentum!
  • Distract yourself – if possible watch a favorite movie, go for a walk, read a book, listen to uplifting music, call a friend :-))
  • Have a nap
  • meditate
  • remove yourself from the source. Leave the room, scene, situation, people/person if possible – sometimes even excusing yourself to go to the bathroom can allow you to turn your thoughts around. If you can’t, let it play out and know that you learned from the experience and will be able to start fresh tomorrow.
  • if it feels really bad, that means you have some powerful momentum going. LET IT PLAY OUT and find a way to start fresh when it subsides.
  • you can’t get it wrong and you never get it done. You will always be somewhere on your journey to well-being (connection, alignment, agreement with Source). See it as a process and enjoy the ride. Contrast is inevitable – learn to accept that and even appreciate it. It allows you to live in a world of choices, determine preferences, come to conclusions, and emit desires (which ultimately causes the expansion of the universe).
  • REMEMBER: YOU DESERVE TO FEEL GOOD!  

REDEFINING THE JOURNEY – More Insight on Manifestation

The word JOURNEY can be defined in different ways:

  1. Our ongoing experience as eternal spiritual beings
  2. Our life here in the physical
  3. The path from where we are to where we want to be on any given subject

If we look at the third option, we can break down the word even further:

  1. Action journey―the physical things we do to get from point A to point B, our goal being to achieve results (Abraham would call that filling in the grid)
  2. Emotional or vibrational journey―a deliberate change in thinking about an object of desire that allows us to feel good even though the desire has yet to manifest

Obviously the emotional journey is the one we want to take and yet it can seem a bit daunting. I’ve spent a lot of time over the years “working” on my emotional journeys. Part of me knows it shouldn’t be hard work. Determination, yes. Practice, definitely. Yet deep down, I believe it was never meant to be difficult and the journey shouldn’t have to be a long one. 

I got some clarity this week. I realized that there are two ways (in my mind) to look at the emotional journey:

  1. Moving from the vibration of not having what we want, to the vibration of having what we want (Abraham teaches that we have to get to the feeling place of our desire before it can manifest)
  2. Changing our view from our limited “what is” perspective to Source’s all-knowing perspective

The second option is a much shorter journey!

Why? Because though our focus is still on the object of our desire, the manifestation is taken out of the equation. And while there’s nothing wrong with manifestation, it’s meant to serve as evidence of our alignment, not be the reason for it. That’s where we so often get tripped up. REMEMBER: If you’re seeking the manifestation to shore up your worthiness, produce your alignment, or validate your beliefs, you have it backwards! The journey is not to the manifestation, it’s to the alignment!

So let’s redefine the journey, leaving manifestation out of the equation:

I WANT TO MOVE FROM MY VIEW AND OPINION (on any given subject) TO SOURCE’S VIEW AND OPINION (on the same subject) thereby producing alignment (aka JOY)

Abraham says whenever we have negative emotion it always, only means one thing: I’m choosing to think about a situation differently than my Source does. It’s that momentary separation between ME and ME that’s causing my emotional discomfort. Therefore, we need to ask, “What does Source think?” If we can pinpoint what we’re thinking and how we’re feeling about a subject and then ask this question, it gives us the coordinates of our journey.

Having asked the question, I’ve discovered that there are some very basic things that Source thinks about me and my desire (whatever it may be):

  1. MY DESIRE IS IMPORTANT (as I sift through contrast, come to conclusions about what I want, and birth a desire, I cause the Universe to expand)
  2. SOURCE IS IN COMPLETE AGREEMENT WITH MY DESIRE (not only has Source expanded because of my desire, it has become one with it)
  3. SOURCE REMAINS FOCUSED ON MY DESIRE – EVEN THOUGH I DON’T (This continuous focus is what causes the components necessary for the actualization of my desire to assemble)
  4. SOURCE DEEMS ME WORTHY OF ITS UNWAVERING ATTENTION AND FULL COOPERATION (Source knows that I am an essential player in this co-creative endeavor)
  5. SOURCE ADORES ME (and is thrilled to play a part in the fulfillment of my desire)

It doesn’t matter what our desires are, these truths apply. As we begin our journey to alignment, we need to let go of lack, unworthiness, impatience―whatever’s causing us to feel bad―and allow ourselves to resonate with the VIEW AND OPINION OF SOURCE. 

For me, all the truths resonate, but the last one is particularly powerful. SOURCE ADORES ME! And when I come to the place of adoring ME, then I’m in alignment and my journey (for the moment) is complete. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A Week with Abraham – Oh look…a squirrel!

My week spent with Abraham was so rich, so full of value. I can feel my power more now that I understand momentum. It offers me control – like my foot is truly on the gas pedal. The subtle changes in speed are perceptible as I lean into the momentum or pull back. I’ve never felt more deliberate!

As they spoke about momentum throughout the week, there were many times Abraham demonstrated the power of momentum by allowing someone into the hot seat who was bent on telling their negative story. Abraham’s response would be to kick them out (they’re doing it more and more lately – but in such a loving way) or distract them. I used to wonder why they always cut people off, didn’t let them talk. Now I know why. There’s absolutely no benefit in telling a story that isn’t serving them.

Recently Abraham has become even more witty, comedic – undoubtedly Jerry’s contribution. lol. When someone (Cancun, week one) began talking about a loved one on the “other side” Abraham began looking behind the blue drapes at the back of the stage. After a minute they explained that they were looking for the other side (The point being there is no other side). Often during week two, they would interrupt someone in the hot seat by pointing to something on the far side of the stage, saying, “Oh look…a squirrel.” Of course the audience would break into laughter and the occupant of the hot seat would get the point.

The point is…distraction is a powerful tool!

I’ve been applying this since I got back. Keeping things light and easy. Distracting myself before negative momentum gets going. My husband and I have been pointing out imaginary squirrels all week, and it never fails to get us laughing. (NOTE: if you want to see where this came from, watch the animated movie, UP. You can hear the dogs thoughts and how easily they’re distracted – it will also give you a visual, adding life to this delightful analogy).

It’s made me see how fickle we can be – not to mention lazy – when it comes to focus. We tend to live our lives unaware, helpless victims enslaved to a mind that has its own agenda. But that’s not the way it is at all! Once you get a whiff of the power that is available to you. OMG…it changes everything.

Abraham is using a lot of new terminology lately: vortex and grid (both concepts worthy of books with the same names) have been the theme of seminars for some time now. Lately I’m hearing terms such as momentum, spinning discs, laying new pipes (I’ll talk about that in another blog). People I’ve talked to are somewhat confused by the new terms – how they relate to earlier teaching and to each other. I have been a little, too, but this week gave me new clarity.

This is how I see it:

THOUGHT is attractive in nature ( which means it has the power to attract similar thoughts). As similar thoughts begin to assemble, they form a belief system which acts as a framework, or GRID, that continues to fill in with more like thoughts, ideas, inspirations, and eventually manifestations. Because of the creative power it holds, it’s helpful to see this grid as a SPINNING DISC, gaining MOMENTUM as it draws more to it. At any given time there are multiple discs spinning. How we feel determines which disc we are on. FOCUS allows us to choose (an easy process if we are aware and make the shift before the momentum gets too strong).

With a little practice, its easy to determine if the disc we are on is higher or lower on the Emotional Scale (a concept Abraham introduced years ago and can be read about in their book “Ask and it is Given”). Our ability to focus is the key. Paying attention to how our thoughts feel and exercising our ability to choose. Knowing too, that if we find ourselves on a disc that doesn’t feel good, we have the option to distract ourselves early on in the process.

A Week with Abraham – keeping the momentum going!

How do I sum up my thoughts and feelings about a week with Abraham-Hicks at the most luxurious resort I’ve ever experienced, with the most wonderful people I’ve ever had the privilege of spending time with? I’ve been thinking about it this morning as I’m basking in the deliciousness of the thoughts and feelings still coursing through me.

The teaching was profound, the interactions uplifting, and the food delicious. The service was impeccable, the weather perfect, the views stunning, the excursions fun. The connections I made were inspired, the memories unforgettable. Everything was magnificent, but let me be more specific.

This is of benefit to me because I want to capture the details of possibly the best (so far) week of my life. Not only that, but by spending time this morning remembering, savoring, basking, and writing, I can keep the momentum going!

Momentum…

That was the theme of the week I just spent. I heard it spoken, talked about it with others. I felt it. I practiced it. I now understand momentum in a new way.

Everything we do is about momentum!

Every thought we think adds momentum to the vibration we are experiencing – whether it be good or bad (higher or lower). The exciting part is that we get to choose which thought that might be.

There’s power in momentum. We understand that from science. We know from experience that once something gains momentum, it’s not so easy to stop or change directions. Abraham used the analogy of a car parked on a hilltop. When it first starts to roll, you could stop it with a little bit of effort if you were standing in front of it. But stand at the bottom of the hill and try to stop it – that would get messy!

They also use the analogy of jumping out of an airplane at 30,000 feet with no parachute. “Hold on it will be over soon.” Everyone laughs, but we get the point. Trying to stop the momentum when it really gets going is difficult if not impossible. 

The good news is…

We can be more deliberate about it. We don’t have to wait for the momentum to gain speed before we take action. Understanding that our thoughts are attractive in nature and if not monitored will gain momentum quickly, we can take note how they feel and shift direction before they carry us somewhere we don’t want to be. It’s an easy practice. In any moment we can ask ourselves, “Is this thought adding momentum to something wanted or something unwanted?” Or even easier, “How does this thought feel?”

GOOD FEELING THOUGHTS = POSITIVE MOMENTUM = PLEASING OUTCOME.

Learning to feel the momentum of our thoughts is a valuable exercise. It’s beneficial to watch (and feel) the momentum – even when it’s negative. Don’t try to stop it. Just notice how quickly it builds and watch it without judgement. Do what you can to soothe yourself. Go general. Tell yourself it will be over soon. You don’t have to deal with it right now. Everything will turn out all right. Distract yourself with a nap, a good book, or a favorite feel-good movie.

Once you’re in a better space, do what you can to build the momentum in the other direction. Deliberately focus on things that feel good, friends that make you laugh, foods that taste good, memories that make you smile. Get out into nature. Take a walk. Listen to music. Then tell yourself that your building the momentum on purpose and see how long you can keep it going (Law of Attraction will assist you).

Try it…

You’ll be amazed at how quickly you’ll begin to feel in control of your thoughts, your vibration, your life.

UNCONDITIONAL JOY?

ImageWe often hear the term unconditional love. People assign different meanings to it. I’ve heard it used to describe God’s love for humanity, a parent’s love for a child. It’s frequently used in a charitable sense…loving someone or something when it isn’t easy or natural to do, because it’s the “right” thing to do.

Ultimately, it means to love regardless of conditions.

What it means to me is to love—to choose to be in the vibration of love—despite what’s going on around me. If I love simply because it feels good to be “in love,” I’m not being selfish in the negative sense of the word. I’m giving the greatest gift I can give anyone. To be in the vibration of love and then through deliberate focus, shine the light of that love on another person—not because they deserve it but because I deserve to feel good—that’s unconditional love.

So what about unconditional joy?

Is it possible? YES! Its all about choice, all about focus.

I’ve had to remind myself of that lately. I’ve let myself get caught up in conditions around me and gotten sloppy with my focus. I’ve been looking at “what is” and letting it dictate how I feel.

I know better than that.

So I’ve made the decision, again, to choose joy regardless of conditions—despite what’s on the news or talked about endlessly on Facebook; despite “what is” in my life, my bank account, my body…

PLEASE NOTE: Feeling someone else’s pain won’t help them; focusing on the negative won’t change it; noticing what you don’t want won’t bring about what you do.

The bottom line is you deserve to feel good!

Give yourself a break and take your focus off the television, off the news feed on Facebook, off what isn’t working in your life right now…and focus on something that feels good. Take a moment to look at what is working in your life and appreciate it!

Use your ability to focus. Find something to appreciate and hold your gaze there long enough to feel your vibration raise. Then shine the light of your joy on others. Smile at the harried cashier; hum as you finish your Christmas shopping; breathe deeply as you catch the afternoon sunset; take a long moment to appreciate your favorite pet; curl up with a hot chocolate and classic Christmas movie with your spouse, child, sibling, or friend. Let your joy spill out through your expressions, your words, your actions.

No one can rob us of our joy. When we don’t feel it, it’s simply because we’ve taken our eyes off it. This Christmas, give the greatest gift you can give anyone…give them the gift of your joy! 

Weight Loss – LOA Style

As you might have assumed by the title, this blog isn’t about action. It dawned on me the other day that action can only take you as far as your belief system will allow.

This blog isn’t even about weight loss. It’s about alignment.

I want to tell you about my journey. Yes, I did lose weight, (I prefer to call it shedding or releasing, as losing infers that you’ll likely find it again) but my real journey has been an emotional one. I was always slim. As a teenager, I was extremely skinny. During my pregnancies, I barely gained more than the baby I was carrying. Even into my forties, I could still wear a bikini. And I always, ALWAYS, got the comment, “You’re so lucky!”

I guess I was. I could eat anything and gain nothing. In fact, in my thirties, I had to “diet” to gain weight and eat deliberately to maintain 130 lbs – a minimum healthy weight for my 5’8” frame.

After I turned 45, something changed.

I started gaining weight. I didn’t notice it right away, and when I did, I wasn’t overly concerned. I still looked good and felt okay. But as my weight creeped up to 150, and settled uncomfortably around my midsection, I began to take action: I cut back on carbs, ate more salads, ate smaller portions, etc. I began a palates routine and stuck to it daily for a couple of years. However, nothing I did seemed to stop the increase.

By April of this year (2012), I had reached 160 lbs and was embarrassingly aware of the excess – especially the muffin-top above my jeans. I hid it with looser clothing and tried to laugh it off, even accept it – as so many people I knew were dealing with the same issue.

In May, my latest novel received a prestigious book award and I made plans to go to New York to attend a gala ceremony where I would receive my gold medal. Of course, I’d need a new dress, but shopping turned out to be an exercise in frustration. I wanted to look good on my special night, but everything I tried on seemed to draw attention to what I saw as a hideous bulge around my middle. I finally settled on a dress. A knit fabric, it fit well, was high wasted and had ruching around the middle to supposedly hide my imperfections.

New York was a blast, and I thoroughly enjoyed the gala evening. All was well until I returned home and began looking at the pictures we had taken. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was disgusted (I’m just being honest) by what I saw.

I saw a fat person. 

Until then, though I’d acknowledged I had gained weight, I didn’t see myself as fat. I’d always been slim and some part of my brain still thought I was. So…acting on that extremely negative emotion (I hated the way I looked), I started on a weight loss program* that a friend had tried and highly recommended. It was incredibly difficult at first. My food intake was seriously reduced and my choices were severely limited.

Every part of my being cried out in protest!

Physically, I was hungry and tired. I had a headache for 3 days straight. Emotionally I was a mess. As a student of Law of Attraction, I’d learned that I was unlimited, that I could be or do or have anything I wanted. I’d been told – and had seen evidence of it in other areas – that life didn’t have to be hard. Something didn’t add up.

By the end of the first week, I knew I had to make a decision – either quit the program or line up with it. I decided to line up with it. I even came to enjoy the approved recipes, savoring the little I could eat, and watching my weight go down. Long story short, I lost 23 ½ lbs in 28 days. I hadn’t quite reached my goal, but I was thrilled. I felt better than I had in years. I looked great. I was savoring all the compliments I was receiving.

But somewhere in the back of my mind a little voice was whispering, “Now what?” Since I had embarked on an action journey, would I have to keep up the action to maintain the results? Again, something in me cried out, “It doesn’t have to be hard; there’s an easier way!”

After 4 weeks of dieting, I followed a strict 3-week maintenance program, (which felt like heaven after such deprivation). I was told it was natural to “bounce back” a little and that my weight would settle and maintain even when I went back to eating normal.

Maybe it was because I didn’t really believe that. Maybe it was because I talked to people who’d been on the program, lost the weight, and then gained some or all of it back in time. Maybe it was because I knew there had to be a better way. Whatever it was, I went forward feeling uneasy.

In the 3 weeks following the maintenance, I gained 5 lbs. I didn’t even “bounce” at all. Every time I stepped on the scale, my weight had increased.

During this time, I had been asking my Inner Being for guidance and clarity. I knew there was an easier way and was determined to find it. I loved Abraham’s new teaching on “The Grid” and it occurred to me one day that this was the answer I’d been looking for.

I also became aware that I had some unhealthy thought patterns and belief systems about eating, weight gain/loss and self image. I began to examine those, and I started listening to everything I could about The Grid.

THE GRID is the emotional framework for our desire. It is the basis, the beginning of all that we see in manifested form. Creating it is our work (or the part we play in the creation of All That Is), our ONLY work. Once we create a grid, its the Universe’s job to fill it in, not ours. When we try to fill in the grid ourselves, our feeble efforts produce small results that don’t last!

The unhealthy belief systems I’d been holding on to had created a grid – one that filled in with weight gain, despite my earlier efforts to keep that from happening. Some of those were:

    • It’s natural to gain weight after you turn forty. (Someone told me that when I was in my thirties and it stuck)
    • Some foods are good/healthy. Others are bad/unhealthy (You hear that everywhere!)
    • Diet and exercise are essential to lose pounds and maintain a healthy attractive weight (Everyone seems to believe that to some degree)
    • I’d unconsciously delegated certain foods as “comfort foods” turning to them whenever I was feeling a little off instead of dealing with the issue.
    • I’d tried to “insulate” myself form hurts of the past, protecting myself from further exposure to pain and heartache. Physically, that resulted in weight gain in my chest and stomach area.

Awareness is so powerful and once I was aware of the grid I had been creating, I worked to replace it. I focused on the ease and comfort of wellbeing. I began to see my body – as well as the food I wanted to consume – as cooperative components to my desire to maintain a healthy and attractive weight.

I’d practiced this grid for several days when I woke up one morning with a powerful sense of wellbeing. I felt a comforting, guiding hand on my shoulder and the giddiness that comes with release of resistance.  I weighed myself the next morning and for the first time in weeks I had lost – 1 ½ lbs!

My attitude toward food changed dramatically. Suddenly I knew that anything I desired WAS good for me and would be used efficiently and affectively by my body. I began to savor everything I ate. There was no binging or eating things I didn’t even like just because I could. I just ate and enjoyed. Period.

That was three weeks ago and I have continued to shed pounds. I’ve shed 6 lbs (I weight myself every Monday and am excited to step on the scale now!) and want to shed 1 ½ more to reach my desired weight of 135 lbs.

I’m so excited. Not just because I’ve lost the weight, but because of the incredible alignment I feel. I know I’m a powerful creator, but demonstrating it in a deliberate way is exhilarating. Not only that but it gives me the confidence to apply this in other areas of my life.

In truth, I haven’t lost anything. I’ve gained so much. Thank you Abraham! Thank you Universe!!!

Sort of like pinching it off so that even though the volume is going through you, the VALUE is not getting to you, because you are vibrationally not allowing it. So it is not about what you are doing, it is about how your are FEELING while you are doing it, you see.”

*The diet plan I followed is called “Weight To Go.” It uses homeopathic (HCG) drops to maintain your body’s wellbeing while on such a limited calorie intake. I loved the quick results and felt a benefit from the cleansing it provided my body. As an action journey, I recommend it. My advice: once you make the decision, line up with it. Do it with joy and determination, expecting results…BUT do the emotional journey as well. Before, during or after, I don’t think it matters. That’s what produces lasting results!
